| Sunny
Bak is best known for capturing the essence of her subjects
whether she's shooting celebrities, the latest rock bands or magazine
covers. As a teenager, she created her earliest images outside
theaters on Broadway amongst the paparazzi. While others were
hoping to catch a photo op outside New York's famed Studio 54,
Sunny was inside partying with her subjects.
Over the years, Sunny has shot a multitude of stars ranging from Elizabeth Taylor to Keanu Reeves. It's probable you've seen her work on record albums (Fiona, the Beastie Boys, Slayer, Fem 2 Fem, Danzig, Engelbert Humperdinck and the Village People) and in magazines (Newsweek--best selling cover, People, Time, Cosmopolitan, LA Style, British Elle, and Details.) The most personal reflection of Sunny's art can be found in her Calendars, Cards and Magnets, which have been exhibited on both coasts and abroad.
